Learn To Write

How does one learn to write? They write! It doesn't matter if you lived long ago in Egypt with a clay tablet and a bamboo stick making marks on damp clay or with a pencil and note book or (gasps)using a typewriter. Or now a computer.

You need to sit down and write. Write for an hour. Write for two hours or just write!. Sit down at your computer or take your notebook and pencil and write what you feel. It doesn't matter if its non-fiction, fiction or any genre of sci-fi or mystery. Write what you are impassioned with.

A word about submitting works. You will receive rejection slips. That is a fact. Unless you have received at least twenty-five rejection slips you are not even a beginner. You need at least one hundred rejection slips before you can even consider yourself a writer.

The more you write and submit the better chance you have. If you do not have the funds for postage check on line publications that allow email submissions.

Above all create an area somewhere where you can write. But write.

I will be updating this blog from time to time. I will also be writing a monthly news letter to subscribe to. (More on the pricing later.) The Newsletter will cover topics on writing, photography and stresses that are unique to writers and photographers.

Leave a comment on this blog for others to look at. Thanks.

Keep Writing!!
